Yarn Keeps Coming...

More and more yarn has come in this week, including some beautiful OnLine sock yarn and lovely ribbon yarn. The picture is of beautiful new silk yarn.

We've redecorated for spring. Lots of happy colors in happy yarns.

There's a new class on felted bags listed for April 8. Jennie has written up a nice description of the class, too, so check it out!

Thank you to everyone who came for the felted flowers class, the entrelac bag class and the other classes this week. If you would like to see a class that you have missed repeated, leave a comment on the blog!

Things to See, and Thanks

We have some fun photos (in addition to this one) from our first anniversary celebration earlier today on our anniversary photo web page, so please go check it out. We also have added some new project photos to our gallery of projects page. You are encouraged to send us digital photos of your projects made with yarn from our shop, so we can share them!

Today's anniversary celebration brought joy to the hearts of all the staff--thank you to all who came by, and we hope you enjoy your purchases. Don't forget to come back any time for additional help or to take a class! Congratulations to all the winners in our raffle, too--if you won but were not present at 5:30 when we drew for the prizes, you will get a pleasant surprise phone call! You could have won the $100 gift certificate!

Ye olde webmaster is too tired to type in more details, so she hopes some of the attendees at the celebration will post about their experiences. Thanks to Pat for opening the store, and to everyone who works or teaches at Bluebonnet. And of COURSE, thanks to the customers and students!

Happy Pre Anniversary!

Boy howdy, those holidays just keep a-comin'!

A couple of the yarn storie ladies and yarn lassie went to see our wonderfup proprietess, Pat (that is her at left in queenly demeanor), as her Irish dance group celebrated the day with some festive dancing. We joined Pat's lovely daughters and spouse in hearty applause, especially when Patrick the boy Irish dancer jumped so high it seemed superhuman. Wow there is lots of talent in that troupe!

We got off from the hard work of preparing the store for tomorrow's anniversary festivities at 3 pm, in order to make it to Mother Egan's, where we also enjoyed wonderful Irish accordian (really, amazingly lovely music) and the Clickety Cloggers. But don't worry, we are READY for the big sale day tomorrow--employees and teachers have their tiaras ready (see photos), and we eager to create new yarn divas, so if you want to learn to knit, come on down!

Or if you want to SAVE MONEY! Come on down!

Or if you want to win PRIZES! Come on down!

Or if you want to EAT! Come on down.

Basically, please visit our shop from 10-6 on March 18!

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Erin go knit! That's what we say when we forget the Irish word for "knitting."

We just want to let you know that we have posted 4 new class descriptions and dates on our website. If you want to learn about cables, mosaic knitting, cast-on and bind-off techniques or finishing, check out or new classes with our new instructor, Patricia Kalthoff.
